  2. Use plenty of water; reduce pressure on harder marbles to avoid hazing.
  3. Run the complete grit sequence #200 → #500 → #1000 → #2000 → #3000 without skipping steps.
  4. Match polisher speed to wheel diameter; consult Summit Helpful Hints for the optimum RPM.
  5. Finish with Alpha® Final Polisher applied flat to the surface (do not extend more than 1"–2" past the slab edge).

How do I adapt a Summit wheel to my existing radial arm polisher?

Use the included template to drill two 3/8" holes, then screw in the supplied drive pins. Your existing attachment piggybacks onto the Summit wheel.

Which speed should I select on a two-speed polisher?

Match speed to wheel diameter. Refer to the Summit Helpful Hints PDF for the recommended RPM range; the optimum varies by diameter.

Can Summit wheels be used on marble?

They work best on granite and harder marbles. Use plenty of water and lighter pressure; avoid softer marbles.

Can these wheels be used on Italian-style floor polishers?

No — Summit wheels are not designed for floor work. Use Alpha Advantage Floor Restoration Discs for floors.

Do I really need every grit step?

Yes. Skipping grits will not deliver a true factory finish. Run the full #200 → #3000 sequence for best results.

What polishing powder do you recommend after #3000?

Alpha designed a Final Polisher that works faster and better than traditional powders for the final step.

Why is the 10" diameter the most common size?

Most marble and granite shops already use 10" magnesite bond abrasives, so 10" Summit is a direct drop-in upgrade.

How long do Summit wheels last?

Service life depends on the stone and technique. Used properly, Summit wheels are engineered to last a long time.

Absolute Black still looks hazy after I polish — what am I doing wrong?

Run every grit through #3000 without skipping, then finish with Black Buff. Polishing at the wrong RPM also causes haze.

Can I work off the slab edge with Final Polisher like a felt wheel?

No. Final Polisher must stay flat against the surface and should not overhang more than 1"–2" past the edge.
