The closed end machine screw anchor is often used to assist in mounting sinks to the underside of stone counter-tops, this insert must be glued in place with a suitable epoxy-type adhesive. The anchor has 6 longitudinal ribs which enhance the adhesion process and help prevent it from spinning as a fastener is tightened.
