Directions for Use

Preparation

1. Clean the surface, to be polished, from any debris, sand, and dirt.
2. Protect surfaces that could be damaged by splatters with proper masking material.
3. Prepare your surface for polishing by completing the honing process, to the highest clarity possible for best results.

Directions for Countertops

1. Target an area approximately 3 – 4 sq. ft.
2. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of the MB-18 powder on the surface to be polished in a circular pattern, slightly smaller than the polishing pad to be used.
3. Using a spray bottle, add enough water to the powder to soak the powder and the surrounding stone area you’re working on.
4. Set the speed of the right-angle grinder/polisher (variable speed is a MUST) to the slowest speed.
5. Using a hog’s hair pad, move the machine over the targeted area slowly, applying steady pressure.
6. Check the surface for results after approximately 2 – 3 minutes.
7. If you have a high polish, semi-flush the section and pull the slurry down to next section and repeat.

Directions for Floors

1. Target an area of approximately 10 – 15 sq. ft.
2. Sprinkle approximately 1 ½ – 2 oz. (3 – 4 tablespoons) of MB-18 powder in a circular pattern slightly smaller than the diameter of the floor machine.
3. Using a hog’s hair pad (highly recommended), position the floor machine with a full tank of water on top of the powder. (For best results, use 1.5 HP minimum and do not exceed 175 RPM.)
4. Release some water and swiftly swing the machine back and forth over the targeted area to evenly spread the slurry. (Note: keep the slurry thick; not too wet)
5. Polish slowly with a spiral motion moving from one end of the targeted area to the other and back.
6. Continue polishing for 2.5 – 4 minutes. Then check the surface with a squeegee. You should have a high polish at this point.
7. Next release just enough fresh water onto your target area to make vacuuming the used slurry easy and vacuum to remove.
