Ecoguard G7 Dust Collection Cover for Large Angle Grinders
The Alpha® Ecoguard G7 is a dust collection cover for high-speed large angle grinders accepting grinding wheels up to 7" (also fits 9" grinders). Constructed from rugged, clear polycarbonate, the Ecoguard G7 removes more than 90% of airborne dust when connected to a vacuum, allowing operators to grind tight against walls with a natural, flexible grinding motion. Compatible with most leading brand grinders (Bosch®, Dewalt®, Flex®, Hitachi®, Makita®, Metabo®, Milwaukee®).

- Select the appropriate connector assembly for your angle grinder brand (Makita®/Milwaukee®/Bosch® is pre-attached).
- Use the included spacers (2.5 mm, 5 mm, 7 mm, 9 mm) to set the correct grinding wheel height inside the cover.
- Mount the Ecoguard G7 onto your large angle grinder following the included manual.
- Place the supplied stainless-steel hose band on the rubber connector, insert the vacuum hose, and tighten the band.
- Connect a HEPA or wet/dry vacuum capable of handling fine dust; verify suction before starting work.
- Always wear appropriate PPE (eye, hearing, and respiratory protection) and follow the grinder manufacturer instructions.

Can the Ecoguard G7 be used for wet applications?
No. The Ecoguard G is designed for use on angle grinders for dry applications. Alpha offers a wet/dry electric variable speed polisher (WDP 320) which has the Ecoguard G attached for wet work.
What is the largest grinding wheel the Ecoguard G7 accepts?

Which connector assembly comes pre-attached?
The pre-attached connector fits Makita, Milwaukee and Bosch grinders. Alternate connectors are available for other brands.

How do I secure a vacuum hose that keeps detaching?
Place the included stainless-steel hose band over the rubber hose connector, insert the vacuum hose, and tighten the band.
Can I use an Ecoguard C dust bag on the Ecoguard G7?
No. The dust bag accessory is compatible only with the Ecoguard C; it cannot be used on the Ecoguard G or G7.
Which Alpha grinding products work with the Ecoguard G7?
Alpha Spike, Vextra, Vexcel and DEC005 wheels are all designed to work inside the Ecoguard G/G7.
Why is there a small gap in the half-cover design?
The open area on the half-cover lets the wheel grind close to a wall. When the Ecoguard makes contact with the wall, the wall itself forms the vacuum seal.
What are the four springs on the cover for?
The springs allow the operator to tilt the grinder while keeping the brushes flat on the work surface, improving dust capture.
