Alpha® Twincur™ GEM-V Hook-&-Loop Edge Polishing Pad
The Alpha® Twincur™ GEM-V is the hook-&-loop version of the proven Twincur GEM edge-polishing wheel. It polishes straight and beveled edges on every common slab material — granite, marble, engineered stone/quartz, sintered slabs (including Dekton®), limestone, concrete and porcelain — using one wheel set. Tool-free wheel changes (no wrench required) speed up production. The distinctive “Tsuya” final-polish pad brings edges to the highest possible shine. Cosentino® recommends the GEM-V as its Dekton® polishing solution worldwide. Available in 5" and 6" diameters, eight grits.

- Mount the matching EGV5SNL (5") or EGV6SNL (6") hook-&-loop snail-lock adapter on your edge polisher first.
- Press the GEM-V pad squarely onto the adapter face — no wrench is required.
- Verify machine no-load RPM does not exceed 2,000 RPM.
- Run wet only. Feed clean water at the pad face throughout the polish.
- Progress grits in order: #50 → #100 → #200 → #500 → #1000 → #2000 → #3000 → Tsuya.
- Use light, even pressure — let the diamond do the work.
- Peel the pad off the adapter to change grits; pads are reusable until the diamond layer is worn flush with the resin.

What stones can I polish with GEM-V?
Granite, marble, engineered stone/quartz, sintered slabs including Dekton®, porcelain, limestone and concrete — one wheel set covers them all.
How is GEM-V different from the standard GEM wheel?
GEM uses a snail-lock (SFAT) wheel with a wrench-installed body. GEM-V is a hook-&-loop pad that snaps onto a separate EGV5SNL or EGV6SNL hook-&-loop adapter — no wrench required, faster grit changes.
Do I need a special adapter?
Yes. The GEM-V pad must be paired with an Alpha EGV5SNL (5") or EGV6SNL (6") hook-&-loop snail-lock adapter, sold separately under the SFAT adapter listing.
What grits should I run in sequence?
Progress in order: #50, #100, #200, #500, #1000, #2000, #3000, then Tsuya for final polish. Skipping grits leaves scratch patterns that will not lift in the next step.
Wet or dry?
Wet only. Feed water at the pad face during the entire polish.
What is the Tsuya pad?
Tsuya (Japanese for “gloss”) is the final-polish pad. Run after #3000 to bring the edge to the highest possible shine on all stone types.
What is the max safe RPM?
2,000 RPM. Confirm polisher no-load speed before mounting.
Is GEM-V approved for Dekton®?
Yes. Cosentino® recommends the Alpha Twincur GEM-V as its Dekton® polishing solution globally.
