Alpha® Palm Sanding Block — 5" & 6" Hook & Loop
The Alpha® Palm Sanding Block is a semi-rigid foam hand-sander built for the detail areas a polisher cannot reach — inside corners, edges, baseboards, and tight cut-outs. The dome-shaped grip keeps even pressure on the surface for a consistent finish, and the hook-and-loop face accepts standard 5" and 6" sanding discs — Alpha Reznet, Ceramica Resin, sandpaper, or any compatible H&L disc. Waterproof construction allows both wet and dry use.

- Choose the SB05HL (5") or SB06HL (6") block to match your disc size.
- Press a hook-and-loop disc onto the face — align it evenly so the edges do not overhang.
- For curved or concave surfaces, add an Alpha Flexible Interface Pad between the block and the disc.
- Sand with even, light pressure — let the grit do the work; excessive force shortens disc life.
- For wet sanding, keep the work area flushed with clean water and rinse the block periodically.
- Peel and replace the disc when grit is loaded or worn; the H&L face stays usable for many disc changes.

How do I reach concave areas with the palm sanding block?
Add an Alpha Flexible Interface Pad with a double hook-and-loop face between the block and the disc — it lets the disc conform to inside curves.
Can I use the block for wet sanding?
Yes. The block is waterproof, so wet sanding is fine.
Can I use the block for detailing with foam, wool, or microfiber pads?
Yes. All Alpha foam pads, wool pads, and microfiber pads use a hook-and-loop face, so they mount directly on the SB05HL / SB06HL.
Does Alpha offer a palm sanding block for PSA (sticky-back) discs?
No. Alpha only offers the hook-and-loop version.
Is there a vacuum-suction version of this block?
Not in 5" or 6" round. Alpha does offer rectangular sanding blocks with dust extraction.
Is there a 3" version?
No, Alpha does not currently offer a 3" palm sanding block.
Which disc size does each block take?
SB05HL fits 5" discs; SB06HL fits 6" discs. Match the block to the disc you use most.
