Alpha® Ecocutter Dry Cutting System
The Alpha® Ecocutter (ECC-125) is a portable, virtually dust-free dry cutting system built for tile installers, fabricators and remodelers. A built-in impeller draws cutting dust directly into the attached dust bag, so you can cut porcelain, granite, marble, engineered stone and glazed ceramic on the jobsite without water or a dedicated vacuum. The 1200W motor, 12,000 RPM spindle and 5" disc deliver up to 1-1/8" of clean cut depth, and the built-in breaker assembly makes the Ecocutter just as capable for crack chasing, grout removal and concrete profiling.

- Install the correct Alpha blade (Katana, Eclipse, Sonic, Hot-Rod, etc.) on the 7/8" arbor; confirm max RPM is at least 12,000.
- Attach the dust bag and verify the backflow assembly seats properly — this is what keeps the cut dust-free.
- Run the tool for ~15 seconds before cutting so the dust bag inflates and the micro-fibers settle.
- Set cut depth (up to 1-1/8") and use the TT Ruler Guide against a straight edge for straight, repeatable cuts.
- Apply the optional felt strips to the base plate when cutting polished or finished surfaces to prevent scratching.
- After each cut, let the tool run another ~15 seconds before lifting it to capture residual dust.
- Maintenance: inspect belts every 100 hours and carbon brushes every 300 hours of use.

What materials can the Ecocutter cut?
Porcelain tile, granite, marble, engineered stone and glazed ceramic (with an Alpha Katana blade). With the Concrete Profiling Wheel (CPE445) or Crack-Chasing blade (DCC478) it also handles concrete profiling and crack chasing.
What is the maximum material thickness?
About 2cm (~0.79"). Max cut depth on the tool itself is 1-1/8" (29mm) with a fresh 5" blade.
What blade arbor and RPM does it use?
7/8" arbor running at 12,000 RPM no-load. Any Alpha 5" blade rated at or above 12,000 RPM with a 7/8" arbor will fit.
Why run the tool for 15 seconds before cutting?
It gives the dust bag time to inflate and lets the micro-fibers seat, so the cut starts in true dust-free mode.
What if dust is escaping when I stop cutting?
Check that the backflow assembly is attached correctly, and let the tool run for ~15 seconds after the cut before lifting it.
Are the dust bags reusable?
Yes — they are reusable. They will eventually need replacement once the fibers are loaded.
What maintenance is required?
Inspect and clean the belts every 100 hours of use and check the carbon brushes every 300 hours.
