Description

Alpha® AIR-300/304 Pneumatic Mini Air Polisher

A smaller version of the well-known Alpha® AIR-658, the AIR-300 is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand and weighs only 1.6 lbs — reducing fatigue from long hours of polishing. The high-performance central water-feed system and 5,800 no-load RPM make it ideal for intricate wet polishing of granite, marble, engineered stone, and concrete sink rims, bowls, and tight profiles. Available in 5/8"-11 (AIR-300) and M14-2 (AIR-304) thread.

Features

  • High-performance pneumatic polisher with central water-feed system
  • No-load speed of 5,800 RPM (optimum 3,500–4,500 RPM under load)
  • Lightweight 1.6 lb (0.73 kg) ergonomic design reduces operator fatigue
  • Maneuvers easily in confined areas — sink rims, bowls, tight profiles
  • Consumes 10 CFM (280 L/min) at 87 PSI — only a 3 HP compressor required
  • Accepts 3" and 4" diamond discs and 2", 3", and 4" rubber pads
  • Suitable for both wet and dry polishing (with appropriate abrasives)
  • Includes 10 ft air hose, 10 ft water hose, faucet adapter, wrench, and rust-inhibitor oil
  • One-year limited tool warranty

  4. Open the needle valve to deliver up to 0.5 GPM of water to the work surface.
  5. Begin polishing using progressively finer diamond grits; keep the tool moving.
  6. At end of shift, add a few drops of rust-inhibitor oil to the oil port and run briefly to lubricate the rotor.

What applications is the AIR-300 recommended for?

Wet sanding and polishing only. For wet core drilling, profiling, and grinding, choose the Alpha AIR-680.

What is the warranty on the AIR-300?

Alpha warrants the AIR-300 against defects in material and workmanship for 90 days from the date of original retail purchase (see manual for full one-year coverage details).

Can I use the AIR-300 for dry polishing?

Yes. Use only dry polishing abrasives such as Ceramica DRY, PVA Quick Change pads, sandpaper, or other dry polishing pads.

What is the largest accessory diameter the AIR-300 accepts?

Up to 4". Do not attempt to use accessories larger than 4" for safety reasons.

Can I use motor oil or WD-40 to lubricate the AIR-300?

No. The AIR-300 requires a special lightweight pneumatic oil (Alpha rust-inhibitor oil is included with the tool).

What size compressor do I need?

A minimum of 3 HP per tool. A 3 HP compressor is highly recommended as the minimum requirement to operate one AIR-300 efficiently.

Can I use the AIR-300 as a wet cutting tool with a diamond blade?

No. At 5,800 no-load RPM, the AIR-300 does not have enough speed for diamond blade cutting.

How many gallons of water per minute does the AIR-300 use?

Up to 0.5 GPM when the needle valve is fully open.
