Alpha KOC305B EZ Slimline Oil Cutter for Straight Cuts
This oil-fed scoring cutter is made for cutting thin porcelain tile and panels by the score-and-snap method. It is listed for straight cuts and works on material up to 3/8 in (10 mm) thick.
Features
- Tungsten carbide scoring wheel on a tungsten carbide axle
- Wheel ground to a 138 degree angle for a deeper score
- Oil-feed system controls the oil flow
- Shaped, tapered clear plastic handle with a profiled grip
- Suited to thin porcelain panels with a smooth surface
- Fill the self-lubricating reservoir with Alpha EZ Cutter Oil (KOC1000) and check that the cutter is dispensing oil.
- Align the Alpha Spike Ruler to the line on the material that needs to be scored.
- Place the scoring wheel on the edge of the material and pull the cutter toward you in one continuous motion to the end of the material.
- Close the reservoir, then position Alpha EZ Glass Running Pliers (KOC512P) on the score mark and squeeze to snap the material along the line.

Does it cut textured surfaces?
No. It needs to make a continuous score across the whole length of the material, so a textured surface will not work.
Can it cut natural stone?
No. The manufacturer states it will only score and snap porcelain material.
