Akemi Transformer MAX Color-Intensifying Stone Impregnation
AKEMI® Transformer MAX is a ready-to-use, solvent-based special impregnation built on reactive modified siloxanes. Drawn into the pores by the stone’s own capillary action, it cures into a polysiloxane and reacts with the siliceous substance of the stone — deepening natural color and structure without forming a film on the surface. It delivers extremely fast, strong color intensification with a very high spreading rate, keeps the lustre of a polish, and lets the stone breathe while adding a durable, weather-resistant, water- and dirt-resistant effect. It is especially prized on dark and black stones such as Nero Assoluto, Impala Black, Galaxy, and Zimbabwe Black, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
- Deep, fast color enhancement — intensifies natural color and structure on polished, honed, satin, fine-ground, and flamed/brushed finishes
- Non-film-forming — does not build a layer on the surface and allows the stone to breathe
- Very high spreading rate — approx. 320–540 ft² per liter on polished surfaces
- Weather-resistant & non-yellowing with a water- and dirt-resistant effect
- Food-safe once hardened — certified harmless on contact with food by an external German testing institute; low odor

- Intensifies the natural color and structure of flamed, brushed, satin, fine-ground, and polished stone
- Very fast solvent evaporation and very fast entry of color intensification
- Very high spreading rate for economical coverage
- Maintains the lustre of the polish and does not form a layer on the surface
- Allows the stone to breathe while adding excellent weather resistance and durability
- Non-yellowing, with a water- and dirt-resistant effect
- Once hardened, certified harmless to health on contact with food by an external German testing institute
- Low odor; suitable for both indoor and outdoor use
Recommended for treating polished, honed, satin, fine-ground, and flamed/brushed surfaces of:
- Natural stone — marble, slate, Solnhofen limestone, sandstone, granite, gneiss, quartz
- Artificial / engineered stone and concrete ashlar
- Especially suited to dark and black stones (Nero Assoluto, Impala Black, Galaxy, Zimbabwe Black)
- Damaged areas such as hairline cracks — giving the surface a homogeneous appearance
Not suitable for: glazed or non-absorbent surfaces. Very good color-enhancement durability on silicate-based stone; good durability on lime-based stone.
Because the solvent evaporates quickly, work in small sections (under about 5 ft² / 0.5 m²) at a time.
- Clean the surface completely and remove all layers. The stone must be fully dry (allow 1–2 days) before treating. Optimal object temperature is 59–77°F (15–25°C); protect from rain for approx. 24 hours and do not warm the surface with underfloor heating or direct sun.
- Apply undiluted with a brush, mop, or spraying device in a thin, even layer, allowing time for the product to be absorbed.
- Approx. 5–10 minutes after application, wipe off all excess with a soft, absorbent cloth. To deepen color on low-absorbent stone, the product may be left to react for up to 60 minutes.
- On very absorbent surfaces, apply several coats at intervals of 1 to 2 hours.
- Re-polish polished surfaces until any haze is completely removed.
- Clean tools with AKEMI® Nitro-Dilution. For routine cleaning afterward, use AKEMI® Mild Stone Soap or Crystal Clean.
- Ignoring the processing guidelines can lead to irreparable damage — always test on a sample area first.
- The degree of color enhancement depends on the stone; the deepening effect is stronger on dark stones than on light ones.
- On stones such as Nero Assoluto or Nero Impala, natural veins may intensify more than the surrounding surface; this is a stone characteristic, not a product defect.
- Seal the reverse and lateral faces of the stone (e.g. with AKEMI® Anti-Stain Coating 2015) so rising moisture cannot penetrate.
- Protect surrounding solvent-sensitive materials (synthetics, rubber, lacquered parts).
- When spraying, avoid forming aerosols, do not breathe the vapors, and wear a protective mask. Empty the container completely for proper waste disposal.
- Industrial chemical product — use only in well-ventilated areas and wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always consult the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
