Akemi PEARL Impregnator — Premium Quartzite & Stone Sealer
AKEMI® PEARL Impregnator is a ready-to-use, weather-resistant, non-yellowing premium impregnation built on high-quality organic active substances. It is drawn into the stone by capillary action without closing the pores, so the surface keeps breathing while gaining a fast, durable water-, grease- and oil-repellent barrier with an outstanding pearl (beading) effect. With very low color enhancement and excellent UV resistance, it is especially suited to light-colored marble, limestone and quartzite, as well as granite, terrazzo, concrete and fine stoneware.
- Outstanding pearl effect — strong water beading with fast development of protection
- Non-yellowing & UV-resistant — with very low color enhancement on light stone
- Breathable — penetrates without forming a surface film, so vapor escapes freely
- Oil- & grease-repellent — plus an anti-graffiti effect from low paint adhesion
- High coverage — up to 350 ft² (35 m²) per liter, with no methanol released while curing

- Very fast development of the protective effect with an outstanding pearl (beading) effect
- Low color enhancement — ideal for light-colored marble and limestone
- Very good oil- and grease-repellent effect; strong reduction of water and dirt absorption in humid conditions
- High vapor permeability — the surface breathes because no surface layer is formed
- Anti-graffiti effect from the low adhesion of paints on treated surfaces
- Non-yellowing and resistant to UV radiation; tack-free hardening
- High coverage — up to 350 ft² (35 m²) per liter — with no methanol released during curing
For water-, grease- and oil-repellent treatment of mineral building materials, including:
- Marble, limestone, granite, gneiss, porphyry and sandstone (polished, ground or rough)
- Quartz, terrazzo, cotto and fine stoneware — especially suited to light-colored marble and limestone
- Concrete, cement tiles and unglazed ceramic tiles
- Floors, kitchen coatings, bathrooms, wash tables, tables, window sills and facades (anti-graffiti)
Not suitable for: glazed and non-absorbent surfaces, or plaster.
- The surface must be clean, completely dry and free of all layers. After any cleaning, allow the stone to dry — usually 1–2 days at the earliest.
- Prepare a 1–2 m² sample area to check efficiency, appearance (color enhancement) and material consumption.
- Shake well before use. Best conditions are 50–86°F (10–30°C), with protection from moisture for about 2–3 hours. Do not warm the stone with underfloor heating or direct sunlight.
- Apply with a brush or mop. Generally one to two coats wet-in-wet are sufficient. Apply so the product does not run down.
- About 20 minutes after application — before the impregnation dries on the surface — wipe off any excess that has not been absorbed with a suitable cloth. Polished surfaces should be polished again until any blooming is removed.
- If needed, apply once more. The water-repellent effect develops after a few minutes; full protection after 2–3 hours.
- Clean tools with AKEMI® Nitro Thinner. When used in food areas, ventilate for approximately 2–3 days.
- For professional use only. Disregarding the processing guidelines can lead to irreparable damage.
- A surplus of product causes blooming and spotting — always remove excess before it dries.
- In spray application, avoid forming aerosols; do not breathe vapors (wear a protective mask).
- Protect surrounding solvent-sensitive materials (window screens, parts to be varnished, cars, plants) from contact.
- On some dark stones (e.g. Nero Assoluto, Nero Impala) the stone’s own structures may intensify in color — this is a characteristic of the stone, not a product defect.
- Re-apply about once a year on heavily used surfaces such as floors.
- Industrial chemical product — use only in well-ventilated areas and wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always consult the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
