Alpha® Advantage Lippage Discs — Metal Bond
The first stage of floor restoration is the removal of lippage. Because this can only be accomplished by grinding the floor flat with an aggressive metal-bond diamond disc, Alpha Professional Tools® developed the Advantage Lippage Disc specifically for this application. Each 3-1/2" disc combines metal-bonded diamond pellets imbedded in a resin compound containing a sub-abrasive grit on a rigid pad, delivering aggressive lippage removal without pellet loss or chipping of the stone.
Features
- Designed for lippage removal during floor restoration
- Aggressive metal-bond diamond disc for the initial flattening stage
- Rigid pad of metal-bonded pellets imbedded in a sub-abrasive resin compound
- Sub-abrasive resin prevents pellet loss and chipping of the stone
- 3-1/2" (89 mm) discs with hook-and-loop backing for fast tool-free changes
- Used wet for cool, controlled grinding and longer disc life
- Available in #60 and #150 grits to stage into the resin-bond polishing sequence
| Part No. | Diameter | Grit | Position | UPC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ADM0060 | 3-1/2" (89 mm) | #60 | — | 749173400209 |
| ADM0150 | 3-1/2" (89 mm) | #150 | — | 749173400216 |
- Mount the disc on a compatible 3-1/2" hook-and-loop backer pad on a variable-speed wet floor grinder/polisher.
- Connect a steady water feed to the tool and confirm full water flow before contacting the stone.
- Begin with #60 to grind the floor flat and remove lippage; keep the machine moving in overlapping passes.
- Inspect the surface, flush away slurry, and step up to #150 to refine the ground surface before resin-bond polishing.
- Rinse discs after use; store flat and dry. Replace once the metal-bond pellets are worn level with the pad.

What is the disc diameter?
Each Advantage Lippage Disc is 3-1/2" (89 mm) and mounts on a matching hook-and-loop backer pad.
Wet or dry use?
Use wet. A steady water feed cools the diamonds, flushes slurry, and extends disc life.
Which grit should I start with?
Begin with ADM0060 (#60) to flatten the floor and remove lippage, then step up to ADM0150 (#150) before transitioning to resin-bond polishing discs.
What does the sub-abrasive resin compound do?
It locks the metal-bonded pellets in place, preventing pellet loss and chipping of the stone during aggressive grinding.
What surfaces are these designed for?
Stone, concrete, and terrazzo floors during the initial restoration / lippage-removal stage.
