MB Stone Care MB-20 Granite Polish Professional Polishing Cream
MB-20 Granite Polish is a professional-grade polishing cream formulated to restore clarity, depth and reflectivity on polished granite, quartzite, serpentine and engineered stone. It is worked from wet to dry with a variable-speed right-angle polisher or floor machine fitted with a hog's hair or white pad, so the abrasives progressively refine the surface as the compound breaks down. An 8.5 oz container typically covers about 200 square feet, and the same cream handles both countertop sections and larger floor areas. MB-20 is a finishing compound, not a scratch remover: the stone must already be honed to the highest clarity possible before polishing.
Features
- Polishing cream for polished granite, quartzite, serpentine and engineered stone
- Wet-to-dry process: abrasives refine the surface as the compound dries, building gloss and color depth
- Coverage of approximately 200 square feet per 8.5 oz container
- Works with variable-speed right-angle polishers, grinders and floor machines using hog's hair or white pads
- Suitable for both countertop sections of 1 to 3 square feet and large floor areas
- Product left in the pad stays active and can be reworked with a light water mist
- Sold in 5 oz, 8.5 oz and 2.2 lb (35.2 oz) sizes
- Developed by MB Stone Professional® for professional use only

- Inspect and prepare the surface. Remove dust, debris, sand and contaminants, because trapped particles can scratch the stone during polishing. Mask adjacent surfaces that could be hit by residue or splatter.
- Complete the honing process first. The stone should be honed to the highest clarity possible; the final polish is only as good as the surface underneath it.
- Fit a hog's hair pad or white polishing pad to a variable-speed right-angle polisher or floor machine. Variable-speed control is strongly recommended for consistent results.
- Work a small area of roughly 1 to 3 square feet. Apply a small amount of MB-20 and add a light mist of water. Do not overapply, as excess material creates residue and extra cleanup.
- Spread the compound evenly at low RPM with firm, controlled pressure, distributing the product before increasing speed.
- Work from wet to dry: keep polishing as the compound dries, gradually raising machine speed while easing off downward pressure.
- Once the product is nearly dry and no longer splattering, increase speed and continue until the target gloss is reached. Some stones need multiple passes or repeat applications.
- Clean the area and inspect it under direct lighting, comparing the polished section to the surrounding surface to judge whether more work is needed.
- If more gloss is wanted, lightly mist the pad with water and keep polishing with the product already embedded in the pad before adding fresh compound.
- Repeat the same technique, pressure and speed across the rest of the surface. A properly polished result shows improved gloss, deeper color and a clean, reflective appearance.
- Test on a small inconspicuous area before full-scale application and avoid contact with surfaces the product is not recommended for.

Which stones can MB-20 be used on?
MB-20 is designed primarily for polished granite, quartzite, serpentine and many engineered stone surfaces. Test a small area first, as with any polishing system.
Does MB-20 remove scratches?
No. It is a polishing compound rather than a scratch-removal abrasive. Deeper scratches should be corrected by proper diamond honing before MB-20 is applied.
How do I know the surface is ready for MB-20?
The stone should already be honed to the highest possible clarity. MB-20 enhances and refines an existing finish; it does not replace the honing process.
Why am I not getting maximum gloss?
Different granites respond differently. Some materials need multiple applications or small adjustments in pressure, speed, moisture and working time.
Should I use a hog's hair pad or a white pad?
Both work. Hog's hair pads are often preferred for aggressive polishing and gloss development, while white pads help refine the finish and remove residual marks.
Why am I seeing swirl marks after polishing?
Swirl marks usually come from using too much product. In most cases they can be removed with Easy Scrub applied by hand with a microfiber cloth.
Can I reuse the product left in the pad?
Yes. Compound retained in the pad often stays active. Add a small amount of water and keep polishing before applying more MB-20.
Can MB-20 be used on floors?
Yes. It can be used on larger floor areas when paired with appropriate floor machines and polishing pads.
