Odor control is a materials issue as much as a cleaning issue. Smell lives in absorbent surfaces, failed joints, and dead-water traps, not in dense sealed stone. An impregnating sealer on all stone faces, renewed on schedule, keeps fish oils sitting on the surface where the washdown can claim them. Tight, well-adhered seams deny residue a home. And every horizontal detail should answer one question: where does the water go?
