Ecoguard™ W9 Dust Collection Cover — 7" & 9" Large Angle Grinders
The Ecoguard™ W9 is a heavy-duty wide-kerf dust collection cover for 7" and 9" large angle grinders, supporting blades up to 9" with a maximum cut depth of 2-3/8". It is purpose-built for tuckpointing, crack chasing and channel cutting on concrete, brick and masonry. A multi-adapter mounting system fits leading grinder brands, the front brush contains dust during plunge cuts, and dual support bars with wheels reduce surface friction for straight, controlled travel. Paired with a HEPA wet/dry vacuum the W9 captures more than 90% of airborne dust to help meet OSHA silica-control requirements.

- Confirm your grinder is a 7" or 9" large angle grinder; consult the W9 Compatibility Chart.
- Install the W9 cover on your grinder using the included multi-adapter set per the manual; verify the blade clears the support base.
- Connect the 54" connector hose (P/N 500073) from the cover dust port to a HEPA wet/dry vacuum — use the HEP110021 Air/Exhaust Hose Adapter if needed.
- Adjust the cutting depth to your target (max 2-3/8") and verify the front brush sits flat on the work surface.
- Start the vacuum first, then the grinder; lower into the cut with the support bars/wheels flat and travel in a straight line at a steady feed rate.
- Empty the vacuum at the end of every shift and inspect the connector hose, front brush and wheels for wear.

How is the W9 different from the W6?
The W6 fits 4-1/2", 5" and 6" grinders with up to 1-3/4" of cut depth. The W9 fits 7" and 9" grinders with up to 2-3/8" of cut depth, and adds a front brush plus support wheels for the larger tool.
