Description

Akemi AKEPOX® 2010 — Gel-Like 2-Component Epoxy Adhesive for Natural & Artificial Stone

AKEPOX® 2010 is a gel-like, solvent-free, 2-component adhesive based on an epoxy resin with a modified polyamine hardener. Its smooth, gel-like consistency gives good vertical stability while still reaching thin joints. It cures with extremely low shrinkage — and therefore low tension in the bond layer — forms extremely weather-resistant bonds, has very good alkali stability (well suited to concrete), and adheres well to slightly humid stone. It can be coloured with AKEPOX® Colouring Pastes or Concentrates to match the stone.

Usage For professional use only
  • Extremely low shrinkage — low tension in the bond layer
  • Extremely weather-resistant bonds
  • Gel-like consistency — good vertical stability, yet reaches thin joints
  • Very good alkali stability — well suited to bonding concrete
  • Good adhesion on slightly humid stone
  • Easy to colour with AKEPOX® Colouring Pastes or Concentrates (max. 5%)
  • Bonds solvent-sensitive materials (e.g. expanded polystyrene, ABS); not liable to crystallize in storage

Mainly used in the stone-processing industry to bond natural stone (marble, granite), artificial stone and building materials (concrete, terrazzo). It also bonds rigid PVC, polyester, polystyrene, ABS, polycarbonate, paper, wood, glass and many other materials. It cannot bond polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene), silicone, fluorohydrocarbons (Teflon), flexible PVC, flexible PU, butyl rubber or metal. Do not use below 10°C.

Wear appropriate PPE. Follow manufacturer instructions and safety regulations.
