Description
Stain-Proof Eff-Erayza Rust Remover - Acidic Stone and Masonry Cleaner - Quart
Stain-Proof Eff-Erayza (now sold by Stain-Proof/Dry-Treat as STAIN-PROOF Acidic Cleaner) is a concentrated new-technology acid cleaner for removing efflorescence, rust stains, limescale, hard water deposits, soap scum, grout haze, mortar mess, and fireplace soot from acid-resistant stone and masonry. It is more effective than traditional industrial acids, yet does not produce noxious fumes, is non-corrosive to most metals (except uncoated aluminum), and brief skin contact does not burn. One quart of concentrate makes approximately 4 gallons of working solution.
Safe for use on (acid-resistant surfaces only)
- Granite
- Slate
- Basalt
- Brick and masonry
- Ceramic and porcelain tile
- Terracotta
WARNING - DO NOT USE ON ACID-SENSITIVE SURFACES
This is an acid-based cleaner. It will chemically etch and permanently damage acid-sensitive stone. Do NOT use on:
- Marble
- Limestone
- Travertine
- Onyx and other calcite-based, acid-sensitive stone
- Uncoated aluminum (corrosive to it)
Typical dilution (per 2.5-gallon bucket of water)
- Efflorescence, rust stains, fireplace soot: 1/2 quart of concentrate
- Grout haze, limescale, hard water deposits, soap scum: 1/4 quart of concentrate
- Mortar mess: 1 quart of concentrate
How to use
- Always test first on a small hidden area to check suitability.
- Pre-wet the surface with clean water.
- Apply the diluted solution generously and allow up to 3 minutes of dwell time.
- Scrub with a nylon pad or stiff nylon brush.
- Neutralize acid residue with an alkaline cleaner, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
DANGER: May be corrosive to metals (aluminum). Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. Wear appropriate PPE (chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection) and follow the Safety Data Sheet and label directions.
