AKEMI Stain Repellent Nano-Effect is a ready-to-use, weather-resistant, non-yellowing impregnation based on high-quality organic active substances. Drawn deep into the stone by capillary action without closing the pores, it gives absorbent natural and artificial stone an outstanding water-, oil-, grease-, and dirt-repellent finish with a distinctive pearl effect — while the surface stays fully breathable and looks virtually unchanged. It develops a water-repellent effect within minutes and reaches full protection in a few hours, making it a professional choice for countertops, tables, window sills, tile joints, and facades.

For water-, grease- and oil-repellent treatment of absorbent mineral surfaces:
- Polished, ground, or rough natural and artificial stone — marble, limestone, granite, gneiss, porphyry, sandstone, cotto, terrazzo, quartz
- Fine stoneware, concrete, cement tiles, and unglazed ceramic tiles
- Especially kitchens (coatings, countertops), bathrooms (wash tables, marble tiles), tables, window sills, tile joints, and facades (anti-graffiti)
Not suitable for: glazed and non-absorbent surfaces or plaster.
- Clean: the surface must be clean, completely dry, and free of all layers and coatings. Rinse well after cleaning and allow to dry — usually 1–2 days at the earliest.
- Sample area: prepare a 10–20 sq ft (1–2 m²) test area to check efficiency, appearance (color enhancement), and material consumption.
- Impregnate: shake well. Ideal conditions are 50–86°F (10–30°C) with protection from humidity for approx. 2–3 hours; the stone must not be warmed by underfloor heating or direct sun.
- Apply one to two coats wet-in-wet with a brush or mop. For less absorbent surfaces, dilute 1:1 with AKEMI Nitro-Dilution.
- About 20 minutes after application, and before it dries, completely remove any excess that has not been absorbed with a suitable cloth. Polished surfaces should be polished again until any blooming is removed.
- The water-repellent effect develops within a few minutes; full protection is reached after 2–3 hours. Clean tools with AKEMI Nitro Thinner.
- Solvent-based product — keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame.
- For professional use only. When spray-applying, avoid forming aerosols, protect third parties, and do not breathe vapors (wear a protective mask).
- Provide sufficient ventilation — approx. 2–3 days when used in food areas.
- If stored below 59°F (15°C) the product may thicken; warming to about 68°F (20°C) restores it to a fully liquid, homogeneous state.
- Industrial chemical product — wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always read the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
