Alpha® Nylon Guide for Profilers (All Sizes)
The Alpha® PFBNG02B Nylon Guide is the replacement depth-control guide that keeps every Alpha® Profiler running at the correct height for a straight, even bullnose edge. The guide slides along the stone surface while the rotary touchier controls profile depth, making the Profiler effectively "goof-proof." One universal guide fits all sizes of Alpha® B-, V- and Z-Series Profilers.

- Remove the worn nylon guide from the Alpha® Profiler hub.
- Slide the new PFBNG02B into the same mounting position.
- Tighten any retaining hardware per the profiler manual; the guide should sit flush with the bottom of the wheel.
- When the profiler is in use, allow the guide to rest on the stone surface — this keeps the wheel parallel to the slab edge and prevents dipping.
- Operate the profiler wet at all times; never exceed 3,500 RPM on Profilers (the guide itself is rated to 6,000 RPM).
- Inspect the guide regularly and replace once it shows visible wear or grooving.

Which Alpha Profilers does the PFBNG02B fit?

What does the nylon guide do?
It rides along the slab surface and keeps the profiler at the correct height. Combined with the rotary touchier inside the profiler, the guide controls grinding depth and prevents the wheel from "dipping" into the stone.
How do I know when to replace the guide?
Replace it when the nylon shows visible wear, grooving or rounding. A worn guide allows the wheel to dip and produce an uneven profile.
Is this the same part as PFBNG01?
PFBNG02B is the current replacement guide listed by Alpha for all profiler sizes. PFBNG01 was an earlier guide referenced in the V-Series literature — consult the V-Series flyer for legacy part numbers.
What RPM is the guide rated for?
The guide itself is rated to 6,000 RPM. Note: Alpha Profilers themselves are limited to 3,500 RPM on the machine — never exceed that on the polisher.
