Akemi Hyperclear – Ultra Strong Clear Urethane Adhesive (Gel, 2-Component)
AKEMI® Hyperclear is a gel-like, solvent-free, two-component (Part A + Part B) polyurethane (PUR) reaction-resin adhesive built for the stone and slab industry. It cures fast on a convenient 1:1 mix and delivers a transparent, colourless bond with good stability to yellowing — so it can be used on very light-colored, white, and even crystalline-transparent natural stone without discoloring the contact area. Its smooth, gel consistency gives good hold on vertical surfaces while still allowing thin, precise bonding joints, and its low shrinkage keeps tension in the bond line to a minimum. Hyperclear bonds marble, granite, quartzite, porcelain and ceramics (Dekton®, Neolith®), artificial stone, terrazzo and concrete, plus many other materials.
- Transparent & colourless — good yellowing stability for white and light-colored stone, no discoloring at the contact area
- Gel / knife-grade consistency — good stability on vertical surfaces, yet allows thin bonding joints
- Fast working & cure — approx. 5–8 min working time, movable after 1 hour
- Solvent-free — low shrinkage and minimal tension within the bonding joint
- Simple 1:1 mixing ratio with strong bonding to a wide variety of substrates

- Good stability to yellowing — safe on very light-colored, white, and transparent-crystalline stone
- Transparent and colourless, with no discolouring in the contact area
- Gel-like consistency gives good stability on vertical surfaces, yet still allows thin bonding joints
- Solvent-free with low shrinkage, so only minimal tension develops within the bonding joint
- Fast working time and cure time for quick turnaround
- Simple 1:1 mixing ratio with great bonding to a wide variety of substrates
- Colorable with polyester colouring pastes (up to 2%)
Recommended for bonding & gluing:
- Natural stone — marble, granite, quartzite (including very light-colored and white stone)
- Porcelain and ceramics — Dekton®, Neolith® and similar
- Artificial stone and building materials — terrazzo, concrete
- Other materials such as plastics, paper, wood and glass (a test bond is recommended)
Not suitable for: polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene), Teflon/PTFE, silicone, and other materials containing plasticisers (e.g. soft PVC).
Only conditionally suitable in areas with permanent moisture or in direct contact with water.
- Thoroughly clean the surfaces to be bonded (free of dust, dirt and grease) and slightly roughen smooth surfaces. Surfaces must be dry — humidity causes bubbles and loss of stability.
- Mix equal parts (1:1) of Part A and Part B homogeneously. Observe the ratio strictly: a surplus of Part A acts as a plasticizer and can slowly cause yellowing.
- If desired, add up to 2% polyester colouring pastes.
- The mixture stays workable for approx. 5–8 minutes at 68°F (20°C). Bonded parts may be moved after approx. 1 hour, further processed after approx. 4 hours, and reach maximum stability after approx. 24 hours (all at 68°F / 20°C).
- Clean tools immediately with AKEMI® Universal Dilution. Once hardened, the adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
- Warmth accelerates and cold delays the hardening process.
- Keep the exact 1:1 mixing ratio — excess Part A acts as a plasticizer and may slowly cause yellowing (a low surplus of Part B, max. 5%, does not harm the product).
- Surfaces must be dry, clean and free of grease; humidity forms bubbles and reduces bond stability.
- Do not use below 41°F (5°C): the adhesive will not harden sufficiently.
- Do not expose the bond permanently to temperatures above 140°F (60°C); short-term exposure up to 212°F (100°C) is possible.
- Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
- Industrial chemical product — use only in well-ventilated areas and wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always read the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
