Description

DiStar Rocket Diamond Drill for Porcelain & Granite

The DiStar Rocket diamond drill is a long-life dry core bit engineered for porcelain and granite. The aggressive segment design drills clean, fast holes for sink cutouts, faucet bores, and tile penetrations without water on the bit.

Features

  • 300+ Holes in Porcelain Stoneware with an Angle Grinder If you are a fan of dry drilling in porcelain stoneware, you know that the average lifespan of drill bits is about 50 holes. Moreover, not all core bits can handle thick porcelain stoneware of 20 mm. The Rocket segmented drill bit is a powerful tool for the most challenging tasks. It features sintered diamond segments securely attached to the body through laser welding. The Rocket drill bit quickly creates holes even in 20 mm porcelain stoneware and granite up to 50 mm thick. This durable drill bit lasts for more than 300 holes in 10 mm porcelain stoneware. Shank type: M14, 5/8' The Rocket drill bit will solve most of your tasks for a long time. Drill bits are available in outer diameters of 20, 35, 45, 50, 55, 65, 68 mm. They have a length of 45 mm and are used on angle grinders without cooling at maximum speeds of 3000 RPM. For optimal dust removal, use the DrillDuster 82 from Mechanic.

    1. Install the bit on a drill rated for the bit's shank size.
    2. Start at a shallow tilt to score the surface, then bring vertical.
    3. Pulse the drill to keep segments cool — no water needed.
    4. Withdraw to clear dust if cut rate slows.
    5. Wear a respirator: dry-cutting porcelain produces fine dust.
