Alpha Silencer VO 10" Granite Wet Cutting Blade — ES Poseidon Compatible
The Alpha® Silencer VO is a 10-inch silent-core V/O-cutting blade designed for use on Marmo Meccanica and Poseidon edge-polishing machines. It produces a precision L-BORDER strip — a clean, square-profile cut ideal for laminated waterfall edges — without breakage or chipping. The laminated copper silent core absorbs cutting noise rather than reflecting it, yielding a quieter, cleaner cut with an almost invisible seam after lamination. This bond (Part No. SLW107PG) is formulated specifically for granite and quartz surfaces.
Features
- Creates an L-BORDER strip without breakage or chipping
- Makes the lamination process easier and faster
- Produces an almost invisible seam on waterfall edges
- Laminated silent core reduces cutting noise
- Engineered for Marmo Meccanica, Montresor, and Poseidon edge-polishing machines
- 10" diameter, 50mm arbor, 2.5mm kerf
- Free re-tipping service for the life of the blade
| Part No. | Diameter | Arbor | Max RPM | UPC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SLW107PG | 10" (254 mm) | 50 mm | 5,900 | 749173461798 |
- Confirm the blade arrow points in the direction of spindle rotation before mounting.
- Install on a Marmo Meccanica or Poseidon V/O machine using the 50mm arbor; verify flange contact is clean and flat.
- Maintain continuous, generous water flow during cutting — this blade must NOT be run dry.
- Set traverse speed per the Peripheral / Traverse Speed Chart (see Documentation) for the material being cut.
- Keep RPM at or below 5,900 max. Reduce feed rate on hard granites to extend blade life and avoid chipping.
- Inspect segments after each shift; return through Alpha's free re-tipping program when segments wear down.

What machines is the SLW107PG designed for?
The Silencer VO 10" PG bond is engineered for Marmo Meccanica (LCV-M-V/O and LCH-V/O), Montresor, and Poseidon edge-polishing machines used to produce laminated waterfall edges.
What is an L-BORDER strip?
An L-BORDER is the square-profile strip that the Silencer VO produces in a single pass — ready to be laminated to a slab edge to build a thicker waterfall without a visible V-groove seam.
Can this blade be used dry?
No. Like all Alpha wet-cutting diamond blades, the Silencer VO requires continuous water flow to prevent heat buildup and segment damage.
Which materials does the PG bond cut?
The PG bond is formulated for granite and quartz surfaces. For Dekton, porcelain, or sintered slabs, use the PD bond (SLW101PD) or the D bond (SLW1010D).
Does Alpha offer re-tipping for this blade?
Yes. If segments wear or break, Alpha Professional Tools provides a free re-tipping service for the life of the blade through their New Jersey facility.
What is the maximum safe RPM?
5,900 RPM. Always confirm your machine's spindle speed does not exceed this rating.
