What is the SLW107EG optimized for?
It is the 10-inch (250 mm) Silencer III silent core blade with a bond formulated for granite and engineered (quartz) stone — the everyday workhorse blade for a fabrication shop cutting those two materials.
Can I use the same blade on both granite and quartz?
Yes — the bond is engineered to handle both. For pure quartz-only or pure granite-only production runs, dedicated bonds will last longer, but for mixed-material shops the EG bond is the right balance.
Will it cut Dekton or porcelain?
Not recommended. Ultra-compact and porcelain slabs need the Dekton-specific Silencer (e.g. SLW101PD). Using the EG bond on Dekton will glaze the diamonds and shorten the blade's life dramatically.
What saw and arbor does it fit?
Any 10" (250 mm) capacity bridge saw or rail saw. Check the arbor bore (typically 5/8" or 60 mm — see the product specs) before ordering.
Wet or dry cutting?
Wet cutting only. The silent core and the diamond bond are designed to run with continuous water on both sides of the blade. Dry cutting voids the warranty and ruins the blade.
How do I know when the blade needs to be dressed?
If the cut slows noticeably, the blade gets hot, or the edge starts to glaze, dress the blade on a dressing stone or run a few cuts through soft material (e.g. an old piece of concrete block or sandstone) to re-expose the diamonds.
Always wear appropriate PPE. Follow local safety regulations when using power tools or chemical products.
