Alpha Vetro - The Ultimate Wet Blade for Glass Tile
The Alpha Vetro is a wet-cutting diamond blade engineered specifically for glass tile, laminated (safety) glass and onyx. A smooth continuous rim paired with a fine diamond matrix and a bond hardness tuned for glass delivers chip-free cuts with minimal waste, and excels at plunge cuts, internal radii and trimming close to the edge. The 4-3/8" size pairs with the Alpha AWS-110 Wet Stone Cutter for portable, dust-free cutting of thick glass; the 7", 8" and 10" sizes fit standard tub/tile saws.

All Vetro blades are manufactured in Japan. HTS commodity code 8202.91.0000.
- Mount the blade with correct rotation. The directional arrows printed on the blade front must align with the rotation direction of the tool. If the front markings are worn or illegible, use the embossed arrow on the back - bond tails should point opposite to blade rotation.
- Connect a water supply before powering on. Water flow is mandatory at all times during the cut to flush debris and prevent the rim from overheating. Even a few seconds of dry cutting can damage the diamond bond.
- Position coated glass face up. When cutting glass tile with a decorative or protective coating on a tile saw, place the coating face up. The downward cutting action helps prevent chipping of the coated face.
- Feed slowly and let the blade work. Do not force the cut. Apply steady, light pressure - heavy feed pressure causes chipping and shortens blade life.
- Re-dress the blade if cutting slows. Glazed diamonds can be exposed again by plunging the spinning blade into a soft abrasive dressing stone or a concrete block.
- Match blade size to tool. 4-3/8" fits the Alpha AWS-110 Wet Stone Cutter (20mm arbor). 7", 8", and 10" sizes mount on standard tub/tile saws (5/8" arbor).

Q: Can the Alpha Vetro blade cut tempered glass?
A: No. Tempered glass will shatter upon cutting; this application is not recommended.
Q: Can I cut onyx with the Alpha Vetro blade?
A: Yes - highly recommended. The fine diamonds within the blade's matrix minimize chipping on onyx.
Q: Can I use this blade for dry cutting?
A: No. Water is mandatory to prevent heat buildup and blade damage. Even seconds of dry cutting can cause excessive heat.
Q: The speed of my cut is slowing down. What can I do?
A: The diamonds are glazing over. Re-dress the blade using a soft abrasive material like a dressing stone or a concrete block.
Q: Which tools can I mount the Alpha Vetro blades on?
A: The 4-3/8" fits the AWS-110 hand cutter. The 7", 8", and 10" are designed for tub/tile saws. All sizes require wet use.
Q: Will the 4-3/8" Vetro blade fit the AWS-125 Wet Stone Cutter?
A: No. The AWS-125 uses a 7/8" arbor and is not compatible with the 20mm arbor of the 4-3/8" blade. It fits the AWS-110 only.
Q: Can the Alpha Vetro cut laminated (safety) glass?
A: Yes. All thicknesses of laminated glass can be cut wet - commonly used for shower door trim work.
Q: Is there a Vetro designed for portable rail saws?
A: Yes. The 10" WG1001 is built for portable rail saws (sold separately).
