Akemi Transformer — Exotic Stone Colour Enhancer & Impregnator
AKEMI® Transformer is a ready-to-use, solvent-based impregnation built on reactive modified siloxanes. Drawn into the stone by capillary action, it reacts to form a polysiloxane that deepens and enriches the natural colour and structure of the stone from within — without leaving a film on the surface. It is the go-to for reviving dark and black stones such as Nero Assoluto, Impala Black, and Galaxy, and works on flamed, brushed, satin, fine-ground, and polished finishes. Colour intensification appears fast, the polish keeps its lustre, and the treated surface stays breathable, water- and dirt-resistant, and non-yellowing for indoor and outdoor use.

Recommended for treating:
- Flamed, brushed, satin, fine-ground, and polished natural and artificial stone
- Marble, slate, Solnhofer limestone, sandstone, granite, gneiss, concrete ashlar, composite stone
- Especially dark and black stones — e.g. Nero Assoluto, Impala Black, Galaxy, Zimbabwe Black
- Damaged areas such as hairline cracks, for a more homogeneous appearance
Not suitable for: glazed or non-absorbent surfaces.
The degree of enhancement depends on the stone — deepening is stronger on dark stones than on light ones. Always test on a sample area first.
- The surface must be clean, totally dry, and free of all layers. After cleaning, rinse well and let the stone dry completely (1–2 days). Optimal object temperature is 59–77°F (15–25°C); protect from rain for about 24 hours and keep the surface out of underfloor heat or direct sun.
- Apply undiluted with a brush, mop, or spray in a thin, even layer, giving the product time to soak in.
- About 5–10 minutes after application, wipe off all excess with a soft, absorbent cloth. On low-absorbent stone, you may let it react up to 60 minutes to increase intensification.
- On very absorbent surfaces, several coats may be needed at 1- to 2-hour intervals.
- Re-polish polished surfaces until any haze is completely removed.
- Clean tools with AKEMI® Nitro-Dilution. For routine care afterward, use AKEMI® Mild Stone Soap or Crystal Clean.
- Disregarding the processing guidelines can lead to irreparable damage — always test on a sample area first.
- Because the solvent evaporates quickly, work in small sections (under about 5 sq ft / 0.5 m²).
- When spraying, avoid forming aerosols, do not breathe the vapours, and wear a suitable protective mask.
- Protect surrounding solvent-sensitive materials (various plastics, rubber, lacquered parts).
- Seal the reverse and lateral faces of the stone so rising moisture cannot penetrate.
- Inaccurately applied product can often be removed with AKEMI® Impregnation Remover.
