Description

Akemi Everclear 505 Flowing 4:3 — 2 Liter Urethane Adhesive

AKEMI® EVERCLEAR 505 is a liquid, low-viscosity, solvent-free, two-component polyurethane (PUR) reaction-resin system for the stone-working industry. Its flowing, pourable grade is engineered to penetrate and fill fissures and pores and to strengthen and finish the surface of white and light-colored natural stone — indoors and outdoors. With excellent stability to yellowing, outstanding UV resistance, and no bleeding at the margins, it will not intensify the color of the stone in most cases, making it exceptionally well suited to light materials such as onyx, Thassos, Sivec, Carrara marble, and Statuario. Once cured it grinds and polishes cleanly to a finished surface.

  • Flowing, low-viscosity grade — penetrates and fills fissures and pores
  • Excellent UV & yellowing stability — 1000 h Q-UV with no change; for indoors and outdoors
  • No color intensification in most cases — excellent for white and light stone
  • Very good grindability & polishability after cure
  • Solvent-free, no dangerous goods, easy to color with AKEMI® pastes

  • Excellent stability to yellowing, with outstanding UV resistance (1000 h Q-UV, no change)
  • Low viscosity for good penetration into fissures and pores
  • No bleeding in the marginal zone
  • In most cases no color intensification — excellently suited to white and light stones
  • Very good grindability and polishability after cure
  • Solvent-free and classified as no dangerous goods
  • Easy to color with AKEMI® Polyester Colouring Pastes, Colouring Concentrates, or Spectrum Pastes
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Recommended for filling & strengthening:

  • Filling of fissures and pores in white / light natural stone, indoors and outdoors
  • Surface finishing and strengthening of light-colored and transparent-crystalline stone
  • Light stones such as onyx, Thassos, Sivec, Carrara marble, and Statuario

Highly moisture-sensitive during cure: the stone must be absolutely dry and atmospheric humidity kept as low as possible — residual or ambient moisture can cause foaming or bubbles.

  1. The surfaces to be treated must be clean, free of dust, and completely dry.
  2. Preheating the stone (max. 140°F / 60°C) slightly shortens the working and curing time but increases penetration.
  3. Homogeneously mix Part A and Part B at a 4:3 ratio by weight.
  4. If desired, add up to 2% AKEMI® Polyester Colouring Pastes, Colouring Concentrates, or Spectrum Pastes.
  5. Apply over the whole surface with a spatula. For larger fissures or more absorbent areas, apply several times; seal continuous fissures on the reverse side before treatment.
  6. The mixture stays workable for approx. 12–15 minutes at 68°F (20°C); after approx. 6 hours the material can be ground and polished.
  7. Clean tools immediately with AKEMI® Universal Thinner.

For very fine cracks, Part A may be diluted with up to 20% (by weight) AKEMI® Thinner EC before mixing, then applied with a disposable syringe and 18G needle.

  • For professional use only.
  • Part B contains diisocyanates and may cause an allergic reaction. As of August 24, 2023, adequate training is required before industrial or commercial use.
  • Very sensitive to water and moisture during hardening — keep the stone absolutely dry and atmospheric humidity as low as possible to avoid foaming or bubbles.
  • Do not use below 32°F (0°C), as it will not harden sufficiently.
  • Maintain the 4:3 mixing ratio as closely as possible; otherwise yellowing or color intensification may occur.
  • Empty the container completely for proper waste disposal.
  • Industrial chemical product — use only in well-ventilated areas and wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always read the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.

Industrial chemical product for professional use. Component B contains diisocyanates — trained use required. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Consult the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (available from the manufacturer or stein.akemi.de) before use. Technical values are manufacturer figures at 68°F (20°C) and may vary with jobsite conditions.
