Akemi Everclear 510 Clear Knife-Grade Urethane Adhesive
AKEMI® EVERCLEAR 510 is a gel-like, solvent-free, two-component (Part A + Part B) polyurethane (2C-PUR) adhesive built for the stone-fabrication industry. Its transparent, colorless formula has excellent stability to yellowing and does not bleed into the marginal zone, which makes it ideal for bonding and filling very light-colored, white, or transparent crystalline natural and artificial stone. The smooth, knife-grade gel holds well on vertical surfaces yet still allows thin, precise glue lines, and it grinds and polishes very well once cured. It is a very-low-emission product (GEV EMICODE® EC1PLUS, emission class A+) and carries no dangerous-goods classification.
- Transparent & highly yellowing-stable — built for white, light, and transparent stone; no marginal-zone bleeding
- Knife-grade gel — holds on vertical surfaces, yet allows thin bonding joints
- Solvent-free 2C-PUR — very good to grind and polish once hardened
- Indoor & outdoor — hard stone (e.g. granite) and Techno Ceramic inside and out; soft stone (marble, limestone) indoors
- Very low emission — GEV EMICODE® EC1PLUS, emission class A+; tintable with AKEMI® Polyester Colouring Pastes (up to 2%)

- 2C-PUR system with excellent stability to yellowing — safe on very light, white, and transparent stone
- No bleeding in the marginal zone around the bond line
- Gel-like, smooth consistency gives good stability on vertical areas, and allows thin bonding joints
- Solvent-free; very good to grind and polish after curing
- Suitable for hard stone (e.g. granite) and Techno Ceramic indoors and outdoors; for soft stone (marble, Jura limestone) indoors
- Very low emission (GEV EMICODE® EC1PLUS), emission class A+ confirmed by an external testing institute
- No dangerous-goods classification
- Easily colored with AKEMI® Polyester Colouring Pastes, Colouring Concentrates liquid, or Spectrum Pastes (up to max. 2%)
Mainly used for bonding & filling:
- Natural stone — marble and granite (including very light-colored and white stone)
- Artificial / engineered stone and building material — terrazzo and concrete
- Techno Ceramic
- Other materials such as plastics, paper, wood, and glass (a test bond is recommended)
Not suitable for: polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene), Teflon/PTFE, silicone, and other materials containing plasticizers (e.g. soft PVC).
- Thoroughly clean the surfaces to be bonded — they must be dry and free of dust, dirt, and grease. Slightly roughen smooth surfaces. (Humidity causes bubbles in the glue and a loss of stability.)
- Cartridge: remove the clasp, load the cartridge in the gun, and work the grip until material emerges from both openings; then fit the mixing nozzle. Discard the first 4 in. (10 cm) of material from the nozzle. If used without a mixing nozzle, mix both components thoroughly.
- Cans: mix 100 g of Part A with 100 g of Part B (1:1) homogeneously. The mixing ratio must be observed exactly.
- If desired, color with up to 2% AKEMI® Polyester Colouring Pastes, Colouring Concentrates liquid, or Spectrum Pastes.
- The mixture stays workable for approx. 10–12 minutes at 68°F (20°C). Bonded parts may be moved after approx. 2 hours, further processed after approx. 6 hours, and reach final stability after approx. 7 days.
- Clean tools immediately with AKEMI® Universal Thinner. Hardening is accelerated by heat and delayed by cold.
- For professional use only.
- Keep the exact 1:1 mixing ratio — excess adhesive acts as a plasticizer and may slowly cause yellowing.
- Surfaces must be dry, clean, and grease-free; humidity leads to bubbles and lost stability.
- Recommended application temperature is at least 59°F (15°C); do not use below 41°F (5°C), as it will not sufficiently harden.
- Only conditionally suitable in areas of permanent moisture or direct water contact; do not permanently expose the bond above 140°F (60°C) (briefly up to 212°F / 100°C).
- The hardened product can be removed only mechanically. Empty the container completely for proper disposal.
- Industrial chemical product — use only in well-ventilated areas and wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always consult the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
