Superior Polyester Transparent Knife Grade Adhesives
Superior Polyester Transparent Knife Grade Adhesive is a knife-consistency (paste) polyester adhesive from Superior Stone Products, made for seaming, laminating, rodding and crack or chip repair on porous natural and engineered stone such as marble and granite. The paste stays where it is placed rather than running, so it holds in vertical seams, mitered edges and chip repairs. Mixed with BPO paste hardener, it gels in 3–5 minutes and reaches a tack-free cure in about 20 minutes. Its light, translucent color cures pale so it can be tinted to match the stone being repaired. For indoor use only.

- Confirm the stone surface is dry, clean and free of dust, oil or loose debris.
- Mix in 2–4% BPO paste hardener by volume; mix only as much as can be applied within the gel window.
- Apply with a putty knife — the paste consistency holds in seams, chips and vertical joints without running.
- Work within the 3–5 minute gel time once the hardener is mixed in.
- Allow roughly 20 minutes to reach a tack-free cure before further fabrication steps.
- Use indoors only, in a well-ventilated area.
