The Aardwolf AVLM2-500 is a pneumatic two-pad vacuum lifter rated for 1,102 lb (500 kg) of stone slab. Built for fabrication shops handling marble, granite, engineered stone, limestone, sandstone, and concrete slabs, the AVLM2-500 lifts both smooth and rough surfaces, tilts manually from 0° to 90°, and lets the operator rotate the pads to 45° or 90° for flexible slab orientation. An on-board vacuum tank holds reserve vacuum if shop air is interrupted.

  1. Connect a clean, dry shop-air supply at 5–6 bar (~73–87 psi) and verify the vacuum pump primes.
  2. Attach the lifter's lifting eye to a rated crane hook or jib that exceeds the combined slab + lifter weight.
  3. Position the pads flat on the slab — both pads must contact clean, sound stone with no chips or seams under the seal ring.
  4. Open the vacuum valve; wait for the gauge to enter the "safe" zone before lifting any load.
  5. Lift slowly. Use the manual tilt and pad-rotation controls to orient the slab as needed for placement.
  6. Set the slab down fully before releasing vacuum. Confirm the load is supported, then vent the pads and disconnect.
  • Never stand or walk under a suspended slab.
  • Always verify the vacuum gauge is in the safe range before lifting; abort and reseat the pads if the reading drops.
  • Do not lift cracked, chipped, or laminated slabs without inspection — the seal can fail at the defect.
  • Keep the pad seal rings clean; inspect for cuts or compression set before each shift.
  • Do not exceed the rated 1,102 lb (500 kg) capacity, even briefly.

Always wear appropriate PPE. Follow local safety regulations when using power tools or material-handling equipment.
